How can Plans be Communicated?

Communication of plans and performance are at the core of Aphex Planner. We have seen that projects with all parts of the team active in Aphex Planner see substantially higher performance.

But we also know that onboarding isn't always practical with some parts of the supply chain or the extended team. There are two ways to communicate plans manually built into Aphex Planner.

Did you know? Most projects add their supply chain and client as Viewer only users to track project progress and performance.

Printing the Plan Gantt Chart

Printing the plan in a gantt chart is exactly what you would expect. A PDF printer that will out the plan in columns and gantt view. This can be used to replace conventional lookahead submissions or anywhere else that a gantt chart is being used. {include image example]

To Print A Gantt Chart

Step 1: Start in Plan - (Jump To ↦)

Step 2: Configure A Filter - The PDF output will adopt any active filters in your view e.g. if you are filtered to 2 subcontractors then the out will have the same filters applied. Filter to the required work in either Deliver or Oversee mode depending on your goal

Step 3: Commence A Print - Select the print icon in the bottom right

Step 4: Select Date Range - Select the start date and end date for the print range. This will both filter the data to this range and zoom the print output to fit it.

Step 5: Confirm and Collect Print - Select Print. Aphex Planner will commence the printing process and deliver the finished output to your email.

Printing Sequence Maps

Printing sequence maps is perfect for communicating plans to site. Sequence maps can be used in start of shift briefings and on notice boards across the site. Sequence maps are PDF outputs of a Location with active work areas highlighted and the associated work detailed out.

Step 2: Configure A Filter - The PDF output will adopt any active filters in your view e.g. if you are filtered to 2 subcontractors then the print will have the same filters applied. Print from Deliver if you want your Team's work or construct a filter in Oversee if you are printing work from across the project.

Step 3: Commence A Print - Select the print icon in the bottom right and select whether you wish to print the specific location you are viewing or all locations
